Erik Stegeman
Erik obtained his law degree from the University of Utrecht and started working at Knijff Trademark Attorneys in 2005. In 2009 he left Knijff and started working at a firm primarily focusing on the protection and prosecution of patents. Fortunately his departure was only temporarily as he returned to Knijff in 2012.
Erik successfully passed the BMM exam of the Benelux Association of Trademark Attorneys and is also registered as a European Trademark Attorney before the European Trademark Office (OHIM) in Alicante.
His trademark practice not only includes the clearance and registration of trademarks but the the legal enforcement of trademark rights also plays an important role. This enforcement is done both in opposition procedures before the Benelux and European Trademark Offices as well as in actions against counterfeit products at customs.
