Christmas is coming! Dark streets turn into charming promenades with beautiful lights. And children are wondering whether Santa Claus is coming. Wish lists have probably been made already. Great chance that Lego is on it, as Lego is hugely popular.
But in order to avoid sad children, carefully check the boxes: is it real Lego or a lookalike? For example, the boxes left resemble the Lego boxes: same typeface, same theme and same Lego men. But it isn’t Lego!
Can’t Lego do anything about these lookalikes? Well, all rights in Europe on the Lego brick have been expired or dismissed. But on the other hand, judges granted some protection to the other items, forcing competitors to keep distance. And probably Lego is fighting against these lookalikes (we don’t always see the fight of course). But you should look twice, or you will end up in a queue on boxing day.
