Fashion brand Lacoste has taken Dutch retailer Hema to court, because the store sells children’s clothes with a crocodile on it. And the crocodile belongs to Lacoste, Lacoste claims.
The French iconic trademark is eager to attach crocodile logo’s used by others, as well as the use of crocodile-inspired names. In the past, the company sued a company that was selling a perfume under the name “Au Croco”.
A decision is expected soon.
