D-DAY for OHIM and EU IPO

EU IPOIt’s EU D-Day: the Office for Harmonisation in the Internal Market (OHIM) is to be renamed the EU Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) under new EU legislation published today.
With this change of name come many other changes. There is a fee structure change (no longer can you file a trademark in 1 to 3 classes for the same price), which must prevent further cluttering of the trademark register.
And then are the many legal and procedure changes that are stipulated by the new EU Trademark legislation.
But first things first: let’s practice… EU IPO, EU IPO, EU IPO, EU IPO…. OHIM… damn… EU IPO.
