Don’t sue, just take a picture

Ryan Doco Connors is an amazing photographer who makes incredible portraits. Recently he noticed one of his images being used by Sugar Factory. The company edited one of Connors’ photograps and printed it on a t-shirt. Without his consent, that is.

Sugar Factory argued they had altered the photograph for more than 40%, so legally, it was no longer his photo. Although this is a lot of b…, ehm, nonsense, Ryan decided not to sue, but to fight back with new photographs and a movie (revealing some of his photographing techniques). The photographs and movie feature the infringing t-shirt.

MarkMatters.com hopes that this matter is settled by now. Otherwise, one of you IP attorneys help this guy out! 40% changed, yeah right.
