It is almost Easter. That’s reminds us, IP addicted people, of some remarkable Easter Bunny court fights.
This trademark dispute was between Lindt and Hauswirth. Lindt has made some attempts to claim the 3D bunny as a trademark, for example in the EU. While it did not succeed in most cases, some trademarks did entitle Lindt to successfully object Hauswirth in Austria.
In Germany Lindt was less fortunate, in that case the evidence, the Easter Bunny, disappeared in the court file! Some willful sabotage or just a clerk with appetite?
