Kesha Rose Sebert – better known as “Ke$ha” is an American singer-songwriter and rapper.
Ke$ha primarily draws inspiration from music of the 1980s: Madonna, Queen, and Beck have been cited as instrumental to her artistry. This inspiration is also seen in her wardrobe and the wardrobe of het dancers. But this wardrobe is now the centre of a copyright dispute.
Allegedly, Ke$ha has not come up with the outfit of her dancers herself.
Ke$ha’s dancers wear striking outfits with, amongst others, eye balls as helmets. It now appears that this has been the main thing in the outfits of the band The Residents, all noted down on paper.
The Residents now threaten to sue Ke$ha for a kazilion dollars, unless she admits stealing the idea, and will mention during the act that it is an ode to The Residents.
MarkMatters.com will keep an eye on this, as it will undoubtedly be continued.
