Designer bags are expensive. A Chanel 2.55 will cost you about €1.700,-. While a Birkin bag by Hermès will set you back anywhere between €6.000,- and €12.000,-. But the new trend now is designer paper bags. Yes, paper!
The paper bags in which the designer bags leave the store, are a true hit on the internet.
On auction sites like eBay the original Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Prada and Hermès bags sell for about €170,-. What? €170,- for a used paper bag, you say? Yes. Crazy world isn’t it?
And, as always, what sells well, will be copied!
Fake copies from China and South Korea have been spotted already. Although the quality of the fake copies is significantly less than the real ones, the counterfeiters must be glad that they are now copying cardboard bags. This must be a lot easier than trying to copy the designer bags.
