There have been many developments in artificial turf. Sometimes you will not see the difference between artificial turf and normal grass. And artificial grass has many advantages: you do not have to mow the grass, no bald spots , no moles etc. Sounds good!
Of course, like any other field of business, there is many competition. So, how do you distinguish your company in synthetic turf products? The English company Easigrass has found something original: the cars they drive are covered with artificial grass.
This distinctive look has now been the subject of an European trademark. The claim consists of the position of a surface of upright synthetic fibres resembling grass. The car itself has not been claimed.
Although the OHIM is never very keen on unusual trademarks like this, they have accepted this trademark and now Easigrass can call itself as the proud owner of an exclusive right to use green synthetic green on the outside of a car in order to distinguish services like gardening!
