Fashion company Island Company sells apparel in the “The Quit Your Job Collection”. Shirts with phrases like: “Quit your job. But a ticket. Get a tan. Fall in love. Never return.”
The Jenner sisters sell apparel with a similar phrasing: “Run away. Fall in love. Never return.”
Island Company claims the similar phrasing on the apparel will “likely cause confusion, mistake and deception among consumers, the public and the trade”.
Let’s see if the court thinks this “Sister Act” is lawful or not.
