Before Madonna’s album MDNA is even released, the pop singer has been accused of plagiarism. And this isn’t the first time.
The Brazilian singer Joao Brasil recognized quite a lot of his own hit in the new single from ‘Madge’.
According to him, the chorus of Gimme All Your Luvin’ is partly stolen from him; it seems to resemble very much his song L.O.V.E. Banana.
Although Joao Brasil does not understand how his track ended up in Madonna’s song, he does not seem to really mind. In his own words: “I am a huge fan of hers. If she is copying my work, that means I’m on the right track.” Well, that’s also a way of seeing it.
His record company is still considering legal steps, but the singer himself is reluctant to. Madonna is his idol: “I would prefer to do nothing. The last thing in my life I can use, is a fight with Madonna.”
Sometimes copyright infringements have a way of resolving themselves.
