The worlds of the marketing manager and the trademark attorney sometimes come together. And this does not always evolve in equally memorable moments. Sometimes the trademark attorney must tell the marketing manager that a chosen name is not that distinctive, which was of course the intention of the marketing manager, as a good name explains itself.
And when you came up with a good name, it regularly happens that a trademark search reveals that the trademark is not available. Frustrating, but this resulted in a hilarious movie of Upright Citizens Brigade, a comedy group from Chicago:
