Meltdown

hersheyThe UK-US trade relationship is melting, because of a chocolate war between Hershey and Cadbury, after Cadbury has been banned from importing its products to the shores of the United States.

Hershey, one America’s largest chocolate manufacturers, is behind the ban after claiming trademark infringement. Apparently, Hershey has a licence that enables them to make Cadbury’s chocolate in the US, but with a different (worse?) recipe.

Brits living the US have reportedly been rushing to the shops across America to stock up on supplies of the British made chocolate.

People from both sides of the pond have been tweeting their intention to #BoycottHershey for depriving many Americans of their favourite chocolate.

Will mankind’s love of chocolate bring the two corporations together? Or will this cause a total meltdown?
