In October we wrote that Converse filed lawsuits, accusing more that 30 companies for ripping off the design of the iconic Converse Chuck Taylor All Star sneaker. One of the first victims: Ralph Lauren.

Ralph Lauren and Converse have not settled the matters and the law suit has been withdrawn. As a result, Ralph Lauren will destroy all copycat products named in Converse’s complaint. A total of 36 Ralph Lauren shoe styles.

Not only the shoes have to be destroyed, Ralph Lauren also has to get rid of component parts, tools and molds, advertising, promotional materials and packaging related to the infringing products. On top of that, Converse will also receive a (undisclosed) monetary sum from Ralph Lauren.
