Today, it’s 46 days until the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. Time to reminisce about the Olympic trademarks.
As we have written before, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) is very eager to sue anyone using the Olympic symbols, the rings, the colors, but also the word ‘olympic’.
And, as you will see, each Olympic there are many people who want to profit from ‘The Games’, by giving Olympic discounts or using slogans like “Ring, ring, ring…” etcetera.
So if your restaurant is called Olympic, beware… and change your name. Because if you don’t, the IOC will look for you, it will find you, and it will… sue you.
