You can take a slogan out of a logo, but not out of the fans.
Premier League soccer club Everton has outraged its fans with the launch of its new club crest.
More than 16.000 supporters of the club have signed an online petition, objecting to the new logo. The Latin adagium “Nil Saris Nisi Optimum” – which means, as you all know, “Only the best is good enough” – that was part of the old logo, did not make in into the new one. Much to the dislike of the fans of “The Toffees”.
And fans have power: the Everton Board is going to reevaluate the new logo.
MarkMatters.com bets the logo will be changed. Never upset your fans!
