Piter de Weerd started out as a trademark attorney at Intermark, an Amsterdam based trademark agency that merged with Knijff in 2003. After Intermark, Piter worked as an IP support lawyer and know-how officer at top-end Dutch law firms NautaDutilh and de Brauw Blackstone Westbroek. In 2004 he initiated and headed Boek9.nl, a phenomenon that quickly developed into the daily source of information for all IP lawyers, IP aficionados and interested laymen in the Netherlands.
After selling Boek9.nl Piter withdrew from the world of IP for a few years, had some more daughters, published a number of books and did several legal and non-legal projects. Meanwhile, Piter works as an information manager for Knijff, which ultimately boils down to finding an answer to the ultimate legal question: “where does it say that?”
