Science sells. Due to popular television programs that enables us (even me), to understand difficult subjects, the attention for science is growing. Science is also the subject of a movie, The Theory of Everything. This movie tells us the story of Stephen Hawking, a very prominent and popular scientist with world fame.
To protect his name against abuse and of course to ensure that he owns the exclusive rights, Stephen Hawking has now filed his name as a trademark. In the United Kingdom and the United States, on the same date (probably cosidering the theory of relatively of time).
The name is applied for amongst others research and fundraising. And also for wheelchairs, a remarkable considering the illness of Stephen Hawking. Nevertheless, a smart move, but we already knew Stephen is a bright person.
