Once in a while we all see strange trademarks, trademarks you might associate with other things than the trademark owner has wanted. We all know the trademarks failures like those of Ikea: the productnames Jerker, Fukta and Fartfull never were a big success. Maybe not a failure but we associate the trademark Bruno Banani with yellow fruit.
While these are sort of unwanted strange names, sometimes the name is intended to be strange. This applies in particular in music scene whereas a normal band name is not done Think of the Smashing Pumkpins and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Strange but very distinctive names. Also distinctive but maybe a bit too difficult: Kakkmaddafakka. A bit vulgar but you might have heard of the bands Butthole Surfers or Kiss the anus of a black cat? Finally, calling your band Garbage is not a sign of a big self-esteem (they do however make very good music).
