Do not envy trademark owners with trademarks in Gambia. Like in other African countries (and also a lot of non-African countries by the way), you’ll need to have a lot of patience. The local trademarks office is facing some backlog. Well, with limited resources not quite remarkable of course.
But the backlog is huge. Since 1983 (with a single exception in 1993), the Journal with publications has not been issued. So, probably since 1993 no registrations have been affected. But good news, the publishing of the Official Journal has been resumed. So, now they just have to catch up on 30 years of backlog. A heavy duty.
