There was a time that went to home just to go to the toilet. That time is over. Public toilets are getting more hygienic by technological developments and, at least in Holland, there are companies like 2theloo that have discovered this market and offer clean toilets.
In Portland, the city has done everything to supply in the needs of the visitor or resident. A special toilet has been developed, the Portland Loo. One of the characteristics are the open blinds at the bottom and top giving the world outside the loo some notion of what is going on inside. This toilet is an unprecedented success which can even accommodate a cyclist (with bike) and which has its own Facebook Page!
But, like always, the success has been noticed. Portland has now filed a lawsuit against Romtec who offers a similar toilet with blinds. Are these blinds an element you can claim in a copryright? Interesting question as the toilets seem, at a first glance, rather similar. Will this toilet be Romtecs Waterloo?
