Wohoo!

In the early 90s, when the internet was still very young, there were a few ‘famous’ trademarks. Remember AltaVista and Netscape? But only a few survived. One of them: Yahoo!

One of the oldest internet logo’s is getting an update next month. After 18 years, Yahoo! is changing its logo.

In the coming month Yahoo! will show a different logo each day. The final logo will be shown on 4 September.

According to Yahoo!, the company had new goals and a new sense of progress. As the company is developing, the logo should also.

In 2009 the Yahoo! logo changed color. After being red for years, the letters turned purple. The new logo will remain purple. Also, the exclamation point will stay.

We’re counting down. Hopefully this will not be another Gap-case, where the public hated the new logo so much, the company adopted the ‘old’ logo again.
